A little bit about me

Hi! Nice to meet you, I'm Laura, a calligrapher, lettering artist and social media manager specialising in supporting small businesses. I live in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

With a background in marketing, PR and communications, mainly in the charity sector, I started Letters Ink in 2018. Since then I've been creating beautiful, bespoke calligraphy for clients and brands. Since 2022, I've also been a freelance Social Media Manager offering copywriting, graphics and strategy to more than 27 businesses looking to up-level their social media presence.  

What sets me apart? As a small business owner, I 'get' the pressures on your time and energy, so when it comes to supporting you, I work in a way that makes life easy and takes as much off your plate as possible. Calligraphy demands high attention to detail, patience and creativity, all skills that come in handy whether I'm creating a stationery suite for a wedding or crafting a social media schedule for a small business.

When I’m not creating greeting card commissions or editing a reel, I can be found walking my golden retriever (he often pops up on my Instagram stories), pottering in my small garden or reading the latest book club book. I’m a keen walker and have completed the Surrey Peaks and Yorkshire Three Peaks. 

I have two children and work flexibly. My husband and I are childhood sweethearts and our honeymoon was a round-the-world trip. We still avidly travel as much as we can.
